FRANKIE's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, and up to date with shots.

FRANKIE's Story...
Let us introduce you to our sweet Frankie. He is a purebred Boston terrier with only a little white on his chest. He is about 3 years old and weighs 29 lb. He was an owner-surrender form someone who found him as a stray. Even though he's a big boy, Frankie loves to be held.

He does fine in the crate also. He gets along great with other dogs, but he can be a little nervous around bigger dogs. He usually calms down once he realizes they aren't a threat. He loves EVERYONE he meets. He's gotten used to doggy door and hasn't had any accidents in the house. He lays in the sun a lot during the day and he's on the couch the rest of the time.

As we said, Frankie loves everybody, but he particularly likes men. He is very sweet and wants to be petted by anyone he meets. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and micro-chipped. But Frankie is heartworm positive. He is on the slow-kill method of treatment which involves giving pills. We are seeing our foster dogs on this treatment testing negative in a year. If you are interested in Frankie, we can tell you more about this treatment.

Please give Frankie's foster mom, Jessica, a call at 706-799-3322, if you want to know more about Frankie. To adopt Frankie, please visit bostonrescueofsc.org His adoption fee is $300.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

FRANKIE, a North Augusta Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in North Augusta, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in North Augusta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Augusta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Augusta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Augusta paves the way for another one to be saved.
