Buttons's Story...
Hello everyone, it is me, Buttons. Oh, hold your applause, I know I'm truly amazing. I am here today writing my bio, with the help of one of my dear human helpers, in the hopes of finding a home. You see, I live at the Branford Compassion Club, an awesome place to lounge, but not quite a home. I would like to spend my days sprawled out on a couch, waiting for you to return from your day and give me lots of pets, kisses, and brushes. I really love pets and kisses. Oh, and food! Food is amazing. Also, I would quite enjoy being the only fantastic feline to occupy your home. An older gentleman cat wouldn't be a bother, but none of those whipper snappers. A girl needs her beauty sleep. Do I sound like a good match? Of course I do, I'm Buttons! Well, if you will, come in to the BCC on Saturday, this Saturday, and scoop me up!

About Our Shelter...
Branford Compassion Club (BCC) is a non-profit feline
rescue organization that serves not only Branford, CT,
but surrounding shoreline towns. The mission of the club
is to provide for the feeding, shelter and care of homeless,
abandoned and feral cats; to educate the public about the
importance of spay/neuter population control, responsible
pet ownership and kindness to animals; and to establish an
ongoing community network to achieve these goals.

Branford Compassion Club was founded in November 1997,
by a handful of compassionate Branford residents concerned
with the growing population of feral cats. The residents
united to form BCC to alleviate the hunger and suffering
of feral cats in this community.

Come Meet Our Pets...
The Branford Compassion Club is an all volunteer organization, and as such we are only able to be open on Saturdays from 11-3. If you need to come in at a different time, please call and we would be happy to set up an appointment with you.
Our Adoption Process...
At the Branford Compassion Club, we do require a potential adopter to fill out an application, which includes vet history and references, and is then reviewed by an officer of the shelter. Adoptions may happen the same day, if possible. There is an adoption fee of 125$ for adult cats and 150$ for kittens, this fee helps to offset the cost of all the medical procedures done prior to adoption such as:

Medically checked by a veterinarian
Tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS
De-wormed and De-fleaed
Vaccinated against Distemper and Rabies (over 3 months of age)
Spayed/Neutered

The adoption fee also helps us to intake another cat once the space from your new family member opens up.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
North Branford, Branford, and surrounding areas if need be.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buttons, a North Branford Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in North Branford, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in North Branford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Branford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Branford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Branford paves the way for another one to be saved.
