Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When I jump in the clothes dryer or refrigerator or onto the table or counter will you gently set me on the floor many, many times till I learn that these are off limits? Will you take the time to trim my claws every two weeks and teach me to use a scratching post instead of amputating my toes? And will you love me as a family member even when my cuteness wears off? If a member of your family develops allergies and the doctor says "get rid of the cat", will you find a better way? And when I've grown so old that living becomes a misery, will you stay with me as I pass over the Rainbow Bridge? If you can honestly answer "yes" to all these questions, you might be the family I am looking for. A.D.O.P.T. requires all kittens under the age of 5 months to have a playmate (a second cat less than 5 years old) in the home. Please see an adoption counselor for details. Dovey was born in August 2011 and came to A.D.O.P.T. in February 2012 when her owner could no longer keep her.
