Kitty's Story...
OK, my name here is "Kitty". Not too original, huh?! I'm a gorgeous black and white kitty with beautiful GREEN eyes! I was brought here through no fault of my own. My former owner got really sick and couldn't care for me anymore, so I wound up in this shelter. I'm a youngster, just about 2 years, the perfect age to adopt, if you ask me!! You can call me "Kitty" or you can call me "Oreo"....just don't call me late for dinner!! I'm a real Sweetie and I love being petted and held and cuddled! So, come on in and ask to visit with me in the Cat Room. I'm in kennel # 127.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kitty, a El Cajon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
