My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lane is a 1-year old Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu mix. He can be very sweet, but he does need some training. We would prefer a home for him with no small children. He came into rescue after being tied to a mailbox with a sign saying that his family could no longer take care of him. We are not sure how long he was out there, but it seems to have impacted his trust level. He will warn you if he is scared or uncomfortable with a growl. If you give him space, he will be fine. In his foster home, negative behavior is rarely seen now that he is comfortable.

When Lane entered his foster home, he appeared crate-trained. As time has passed, he has felt more at home and has shown more dislike for being in the crate. However, Lane will usually have an accident if you leave him out for an entire work day. He is also quite puppy, so shoes, anything hanging down, or unmentionables in the hamper are great for chewing. .

With a lot of love, some doggie training and time, he is going to be a wonderful canine family member. He already loves to cuddle. He wants nothing more than to be under, on, near or following his person. He just wants a family to belong to. .

Lane will not be able to attend our adoption event on St. Patrick’s Day, but applications are being accepted.

Fence/enclosed patio required for most dogs. We check your vet reference and fence. Dogs are current on vaccinations, HW negative, micro chipped, dental if needed and spayed/neutered. Email lldogrescue@yahoo.com for quickest response.
