Meet sweet Ally (or Miss Piggy as her foster mom likes to call her)! She is a 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Although she weighs about 55 pounds, she is short and stocky, just as a Staffie should be! Ally was found wandering the streets of Queens. We know that she was owned (she was microchipped and spayed), but she spent almost 2 months in the shelter and nobody came to claim the poor girl. We knew that Ally's time was limited, so Shelter Survivors came to her rescue!
Although Ally was in the shelter for 2 months, she quickly adjusted to life in her foster home. She's completely housetrained. She even rings a bell to let her foster mom know that she needs to go outside! She loves playing fetch with her toys, chewing on her bones, and finding treats in her Kong toys. Of course this chunky monkey loves treats, and she takes them very gently. She knows her basic commands like sit, stay, down, and come. Ally enjoys a full body rub down. She even likes taking baths! At bedtime, she curls up in her dog bed and snuggles in her blankets; she quickly begins to snore as she drifts off to sleep. Ally also loves to cuddle on the couch next to her foster mom to get some extra belly rubs in. She snorts with happiness!
Ally is a happy girl with so much love to give.
