Peanut's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Gray, Blue Or Silver Tabby | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | ID#: | 191 | Hair: | Short |
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with cats.
Peanut is a sweet, shy grey tabby, the sister of Handsome Boy and Little One who also live in our Community Room. When she came to us, she was playful and loved human interaction. She was a regular lap cat. But she does not get as much human attention as she wants and needs in the Community Room; she has become shy and tends to stay on her perch high on the wall. Peanut needs a calm forever home with adults who will help her find her inner kitten so she shed her shyness and can become the wonderful companion cat she once was. Peanut would do best as an only cat or with one of her siblings who currently share the Community Room.

Shelter Info...
Branford Compassion Club (BCC) is a non-profit feline
rescue organization that serves not only Branford, CT,
but surrounding shoreline towns. The mission of the club
is to provide for the feeding, shelter and care of homeless,
abandoned and feral cats; to educate the public about the
importance of spay/neuter population control, responsible
pet ownership and kindness to animals; and to establish an
ongoing community network to achieve these goals.
Branford Compassion Club was founded in November 1997,
by a handful of compassionate Branford residents concerned
with the growing population of feral cats. The residents
united to form BCC to alleviate the hunger and suffering
of feral cats in this community.
The Branford Compassion Club is an all volunteer organization, and as such we are only able to be open on Saturdays from 11-3. If you need to come in at a different time, please call and we would be happy to set up an appointment with you.
At the Branford Compassion Club, we do require a potential adopter to fill out an application, which includes vet history and references, and is then reviewed by an officer of the shelter. Adoptions may happen the same day, if possible. There is an adoption fee of 125$ for adult cats and 150$ for kittens, this fee helps to offset the cost of all the medical procedures done prior to adoption such as:
Medically checked by a veterinarian
Tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS
De-wormed and De-fleaed
Vaccinated against Distemper and Rabies (over 3 months of age)
Spayed/Neutered
The adoption fee also helps us to intake another cat once the space from your new family member opens up.
North Branford, Branford, and surrounding areas if need be.
