Jessie's Story...
I’m Jessie, a sweet and loving adult cat looking for a new family. I’m a client at Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Centreville, and they can attest to the fact that I’m already spayed, current on all of my shots, and healthy. I enjoy spending quiet time at home, with plenty of attention and TLC for me. One of my favorite pastimes is curling up on your lap while watching TV. I welcome new people into my home and let them know when I want their attention. I’d be happy to live with a family with children so long as they are gentle with their pets and generous with their snuggles. I’d welcome a multi-pet home where I could live with another cat or even a dog as playmate. I like to be in charge and can be a bit finicky at time – somebody’s got to be the boss. Why not me? If you’d like to be my new family and let me boss you around (hey, sit down for some snuggles now, already!), please contact my friends at Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Centreville. Email centreville@caringhandsvet.com or give them a call at 703-830-5700.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessie, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
