My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 03/24/2012: Cody is an adorable yorkie who is approximately 7-8 years old and weighs 9.8 lbs; he is being fostered in The Villages, FL. Here’s what Cody had to say recently when interviewed by his Foster Mom:
Hi everyone - Cody here. Well, I've got so much to tell you. First of all, I had 10 (yes, count them TEN) teeth removed, but my mouth feels much better now. My Foster Mom and Foster Dad took really good care of me and made sure I took all my meds (yuck) so that I wouldn't get any infection. I'm all better now and I just love to smile and show the teeth that I have left. I always make my Foster Mom laugh and laugh when I smile at her.......and she just LOVES my big brown eyes. I am so happy in my foster home. The resident Yorkie is Frankie, who was adopted from UYR (boy, I hope I'm as lucky!); Frankie and I get along really good. We both ride really good in the car and have LOTS of fun in the golf cart. We go to dog parks where we meet other nice dogs and I don't have a problem with any of them...sometimes I just like to sit in Foster Mom's lap, though. My Foster Dad takes me for walks and always tells people how wonderful I am because I walk right next to his feet like a good boy. I always eat up all my breakfast and dinner and then get a doggie bone treat. My friend, Frankie, usually buries his in his crate, and when he's not looking, I go in and snitch it (shshshsh! don't tell him). My Foster Mom says I have a great personality and that I'm very, very lovable. I just love sitting in her lap and looking out the window when she has her morning coffee. Sometimes I growl at people walking by, but that's just a big front. I'm very friendly when people come to me and want to pat me (ohhhhhh, yea, right there behind my ear...). I know I'm making my Foster Parents real happy and I know I could make my Forever Parents happy, too. I just need to find them. NOTE: Cody is a runner, so it would be best for his new family to have a fenced-in yard so that no accidents will happen and keep careful watch or a baby gate at the front door. Cody doesn’t really like being around children as they make him nervous and would do much better if he went into a home with no young children, perhaps just teenagers.

INITIAL BIO 03/03/2012 MEET CODY! Cody is an adorable yorkie who is 7-8 years old and weighs a solid 11 lbs; he is currently being fostered in Tampa, FL, but will be moving to his permanent foster home in The Villages in a week. He was surrendered by his owner because the other yorkie in the house was very alpha and bullied Cody, even causing him to loose a tooth ~ awwwwwww! Cody had only been with the surrendering owner for 9 months; his original owner apparently made no effort in teaching Cody or his sister, Miranda, where he was and was NOT supposed to go, and he was wearing human diapers when he arrived at his new home. Bless his heart, his little butt was totally bald where the diaper was, so sad. Miranda was adopted readily and it was not known at the time that Cody would be picked on in his new home. Cody is still not completely housetrained, but he’s a smart little boy and should learn with consistency and training in his new foster home. When pet-sat by others, Cody is perfectly housetrained, and his housetraining difficulty in the surrendering home may have had something to do with the other very alpha male in the home. Cody is a runner, so it would be best for his new family to have a fenced-in yard so that no accidents will happen. Cody doesn’t really like being around children as they make him nervous and would do much better if he went into a home with no children, or perhaps teenagers.
Cody is a very loving dog with a very kind personality and sweet demeanor. He has a great energy and LOVES to sit on your lap and snuggle. He loves loves loves his person and will follow them around all over the house. Foster Mom says that he is a great dog who deserves a loving FURever family so that he will never ever have to be moved again – this sweet gentle little fella has already moved 5 times in his life. L Cody gets along with all other dogs except the very alpha dog who bullied him, so he would love to have another well-mannered doggie companion close to his age and size to play with as he misses his sister Miranda a lot - they had a very loving and playful relationship. Maybe your home would be perfect for Cody?
