My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Molly and her daughter Susie lost their home due to a death in the family. Their mom died from cancer and dad had to move into a rental. Dad found out the rental wouldn't allow the dogs inside the house. Molly and Susie had to spend some cold nights in the shed outside and dad asked if Save1Pet could help place the two dogs. Both girls are now being boarded at Olive Branch Animal Clinic until a foster home opens to take them in.

Molly is 14 years old, spayed, weighs 14.6 pounds and homeless. Could you offer her the comforts of a home? She really misses having a family like she had most of her life. Right now they could use a sponsor to get groomed and offer help with some of their medical needs.

Thank you for the grooming donation, both girls look great now. They had fun out for their spa day! Thanks so much for making this possible.

The last time the girls had seen their vet was Sept. 2010. Unfortunately for Molly she tested very light positive for heartworms. She is now placed back on preventative so she doesn't get any more heartworms. She's very active for a 14 y/o. Gets around very well and will jump up into your arms. We've started her on Rimadyl and she's like your typical JRT! Jump, Jump, Jump! She'd love to have a lap to cuddle on and hang out with another senior if possible. No reason to spend your days all alone at home...you could have the company of a furry friend to entertain you. She doesn't care much for female dogs but seems to be okay with males. But most of all she adores the company of humans!

Molly had a senior panel run and all her blood work came back good!! She still needs a dental and we are hoping to get a donation to help with that. It runs about $95 but if they have to pull teeth then it can run $15 per tooth! Ouch! But she really needs it! So we've done the blood work so we know she is okay to go under anesthesia to have her dental.

Save 1 Pet is a 501 (c) 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes to foster the animals until they find a forever home.
