Claude's Story...
Howdy, I am Claude. My mom is a German Shepherd mix and my dad is a big, yellow Lab but I guess I just turned out my own way…which is just Adorable! I look like a little fuzzy bear cub don't I? Any whoo, all joking aside I am looking for a loving, committed family who are ready to raise a baby and raise me right. I want to be properly socialized (I am already on my way, I am the most outgoing of my litter) and take the obedience class and learn my kennel training. Anyway, like my sister said, I can't wait, I can't wait!16 weeks old-20lbs. My adoption fee is $225 and includes; current shots, reduced cost neuter and $25 neuter rebate, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, Free vet exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area), 5 week Good Manners training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Claude, a Portland Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
