Chilly's Story...
Chilly is a 9 year old Cockatiel who is very curious about people. He is currently learning to step up and is doing quite well with it -- he will continue to make progress with someone willing to gain his trust and reward him with treats as he masters this skill. Chilly is learning to eat a better diet that includes vegetables and fruits; he already likes bits of apple, carrot, kale, and brown rice. Chilly gets along well with other cockatiels -- he could be a nice addition to a home that already has a cockatiel or he could be adopted with another Phoenix Landing cockatiel for company when you're not home. Chilly would also be a good companion for someone who can spend a lot of time with him, such as a retired person or someone who works from home. Chilly will warm his way into your heart!

In addition to Chilly, Phoenix Landing has other Cockatiels and many other birds of all sizes and species and for all levels of experience. We'd be happy to work with you to find your great bird match!

About Phoenix Landing Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

The Phoenix Landing Foundation (PL) is a non-profit all-volunteer organization. PL promotes and protects the welfare of parrots, especially those with an extensive lifespan. We provide for parrots of all types in need, and act as advocates for those without protection. Visit our website at for more information. We also sponsor great educational seminars! All are welcome (please do not bring your birds or other pets). Most of PL's classes are free, although of course we always welcome donations.

Our Adoption Process...

- An Adoption Application
- A brief in-Home Visit with you and your family (for birds larger than a cockatiel)
- Attendance at an Intro class (recommended for all, required for birds larger than a cockatiel). For large birds (macaws, cockatoos, amazons, greys, eclectus, etc.) we also require an Advanced class.
- An Adoption Fee (for birds larger than a cockatiel) -- adoption fees vary, larger birds have higher fees
