Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sammy is a gorgeous German shepherd dog, rescued from a high kill shelter in central California.
He is about 2 to 3 years old, and he is perfectly well behaved.
Sammy is completely house broken, is not a barker, and he is gentle and mellow. Sammy weighs about 70 pounds and none of it is fat!
He is a really funny fellow -- his favorite toy is a squeaky duck that he carries around very gently -- he makes me laugh when he tries to hide it from the other dogs right on the sofa or “hidden” in a corner where everyone can see it. He is just a very sweet dog!
Sammy barks only when someone is around who should not be and even then, he will listen to a sharp “It’s OK” and hush up.
German shepherds are incredibly smart dogs and Sammy is a great example of this, and of their loyalty and tolerance.
He is a very special fellow and with his one ear up and the other down, he is cuter than a (big!) bug.
He is stunning –one of the most handsome dogs I have ever met. And his behavior is absolutely perfect.
