My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Ginger, we named her as she was found stray and no one came looking for her. She is chipped but it traced to someone who said they gave her away in the past and was not too interested she was at IACC. She is an old girl so we pulled her. She has dental issues we are getting addressed, a grade 3 heart murmur (nothing to do now about that, just keep an eye on it with annual check ups) and her sight is poor. She has cataracts and she does not have clarity in her vision. She is not blind and does not bump into things but is careful and sees shadows, shapes and light. She is a bit timid and skittish so we think she should not be with young children who may startle her too much. She is a small beagle, spayed, and is awesome on a leash. She seems to be sort of house trained or was in the past and we are working on that. She is really hard to get a photo of as she turns away when she senses you are looking at her or standing there near her so this one from the shelter is about the best one we have right now.

Contact Mindy at mmiller@beaglebuddies.org to obtain an application. Submit the application form and we will schedule a time to meet the pet. If interested in adopting we require a home visit and an adoption agreement with a fee. Beagles over 5 years of age have an adoption of $100 and if younger than 5 years the fee is $125. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, are up to date on vaccinations, and a copy of vet records is provided upon adoption to set up a file at your vet. We supply collar, temporary ID tag until you can use till you get one, and leash. All beagles are micro-chipped as well.
