About Our Rescue Group...
We are small but growing group of volunteers who simply love cats. We are not-for-profit organization who rely on public donations and support to continue to operate and save the lives of many innocent cats and kittens. The majority of our cats & kittens are rescued from Kill shelters who are rescue friendly and allow us to take these cats who are slated for euthanasia because of a lack of space in the shelter. Foster homes are our life blood, we need foster homes year round. Volunteers to help us with fundraising events, garage sales, adoption centres etc are always welcomed.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption application can be downloaded and completed and emailed back to us at info@forgottenones.ca. Once reviewed and approved, and adoption rep will be in contact with you to go over some of the questions on the application and to perhaps arrange a meeting with some of the cats in our adoption facility. Standard adoption fee is $175.00 for adults, includes vet exam, spay/neuter, microchip, tested for Feleuk/FIV. Kitten adoption fee are $225.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lockett, a Richmond Hill Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond Hill, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Richmond Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
