Casper's Story...
Casper is a gorgeous Male Shepherd Mix - beautiful white coat of fur. He is in training for his Therapy Dog Certificate! WOW! Casper is about 1 year old and just a love. He limps a bit, but the vet says he has a previous injury. We would love for him to find a happy home. Casper likes all dogs and he loves to stand in water! He was a hit at Woofstock in the Keys but no adopters yet. Casper is a handsome boy and is pure white. What a gorgeous Shepherd! Please email pets@thisisthedog.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Casper, a Homestead German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Homestead, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Homestead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homestead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homestead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homestead paves the way for another one to be saved.
