Iri's Story...
Iri is a male Jindo Dog being fostered by Jin-Sohl Jindo Dog Rescue. He is currently located in Northern California. The Jindo is similar to the Shiba Inu, though somewhat larger. For more information on this incredible breed please visit http://www.jindojunkie.com

Iri is a lovable young Jindo who is about 10 months old. Picked up as a stray by a Southern California
shelter, his owners never showed up to claim him. When time ran out rescue stepped in, and now he's looking for a new home to call his own. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and is housetrained.

This spunky pup is a typical active and playful youngster. His foster home will be working on basic house manners and obedience skills. Like with any young dog his new owner will need to be dedicated to establishing rules, ongoing reinforcement of his manners, as well as providing proper socialization and training. Attendance at a training class will be required as a condition of adoption.

Iri (pronounced "eerie") means "Wolf" in Korean and fits his unusual dark agouti color.

For adoption info or to fill out an online application, go to www.jindo-dog-rescue.org. PLEASE READ "ADOPT A JINDO" and fill out an application BEFORE e-mailing or calling! THANK YOU!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Iri, a Southern California Jindo/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jindo/Shiba Inu for sale in Southern California, or seeking a Jindo/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Southern California.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southern California already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southern California breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jindo/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Jindo/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southern California paves the way for another one to be saved.
