Sonny's Story...
This two-toned Chihuahua might seem shy at first, but just give him a couple minutes and he will surely warm up. This sweet little guy loves to cuddle and be held; making sure he is getting all of your attention. He does well with other dogs and cats are fine too. He’s a bit timid around children so kids over 6 years of age would be best. Sonny loves his walks and is very athletic therefore he would make a great jogging companion. Come meet Sonny and he will nestle his way in to your heart!

Act quickly to adopt Sonny. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a Berkeley Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
