My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! Meet Lefty. He is approximately 6-8 years old. He was left outside when his family lost their home and moved away. Lefty is a very sweet and loving neutered male, shorthaired cat in need of a lifelong, loving home. A nice neighbor brought him in this winter and is taking care of him. He has no vision in his left eye (hence his name). The vet thinks he has a detached retina and at some point had a bad infection in his eye that went untreated. Lefty functions fine and doesn't seem to notice at all. He is happy to be in a warm house this winter, but still enjoys watching the great outdoors. Please show Lefty what it is like to have a permanent home and a place where he can always have TLC, people to love, food and shelter. Adoption fee: $60.

Adoption Process:
Complete the application at the link above or send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. This is a pending period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
