McCoy's Story...
This is McCoy, MC for short, as he's an informal sort of dude. He's a lab mix, about 3 years old and 67 pounds. He is a high energy dog and he gets very excited meeting new people. MC has been very playful since his arrival. He absolutely loves being outside - so if you like doing outdoorsy activities, MC would be the perfect dog for you. When cat tested, he proved to be frightened of them. When he’s done with the 8-10 week Camp Canine program, he'll be an AKC Good Citizen, who knows basic commands (sit, stay, down) and other skills he'll need to interact in public with humans other than his own and other dogs. He’s fully-vetted: neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you'd like to meet MC, give us a call at 502-222-7537 or email jojohsoc@aol.com. Just don't bring a cat, or MC might embarrass himself!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McCoy, a LaGrange Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
