Facts about Walter

  • Breed: Domestic Mediumhair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Walter is a wonderful adult kitty who has had a rough life. He was adopted out twice as a teeny kitten with his sister and returned through no fault of his own. His sister found her forever home a year ago and Walter is still waiting for his dream to come true. His foster mom passed away and Walter found himself once again trying to adjust in a new environment.
He is a mellow guy with a gentle meow who would love a quiet home with a nice warm lap to sit on. He once lived with too many cats and was bullied by them making him fearful of other cats. Walter would be happiest as an only cat but would probably be ok with a calm, feline-friendly doggy in the house. Walter may take a little time to adjust in his new home given all of the changes he has had in his life but once he knows he is home to stay, he will give you all of his love and affection!

Because I am fixed, tested (negative) for FIV and FeLV, and vaccinated, Happy Strays asks for a $100 adoption fee.

About Happy Strays Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Happy Strays Rescue is a non-profit rescue organization that cares for stray, abandoned and orphaned cats and kittens. Our rescues are often just babies who require bottlefeeding and hand rearing. Our cats and kittens are cared for in a network of wonderful foster homes while they wait for adoption.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We currently have many many cats and kittens ready for adoption! Because we do not have a shelter and our cats reside in foster homes they are only available to be seen at our adoption Saturdays. If there is a cat you would like to meet, please let us know so that we can make sure the kitty is at our next event.

Our cats are available for adoption every Saturday from 11 am-3:30 pm at the PETCO in La Canada and 10:00am-2:30pm at Petco in Santa Clarita. Please see our website for details and directions.

Our Adoption Process...

Our fees average $100 and include spay/neuter, testing for Felv/FIV and all vaccinations. We have an adoption questionaire and contract to be signed. We do not allow de-clawing, but we often rescue declawed cats and have them available for adoption. If the adoption is not a good fit for the cat or family, pets may always be returned to us.
