Hadley's Story...
Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the cutes cat of all... why you don't say, me! That's right, my name's Hadley and I'm just the cutest little orange tiger mix you'll ever meet. At least I think so! My favorite thing to do is get my beauty rest, followed by a quick nap and then lots and lots of attention by one of my admirers! The thing is I'm looking for my furever home, that'll be the place where I can really fit in, find someone to admire me and snuggle with me. I like to play as well, soft fuzzy catnip toys are my favorite, I love to roll around on the ground with them. If you think I might be the right girl for you stop on by and give me some visit! Before making the trip to visit we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Pets can be adopted quickly, and although we update our pet list daily the puppy or kitten you see on our website before you leave may be adopted by the time you arrive. To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information please visit our website or phone the shelter (978-283-6055) instead of sending emails as emails are not always answered on a daily basis. Because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hadley, a Gloucester Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
