Katie's Story...
Little Miss `Katie` is a female dog who is qat our shelter right now. She was picked up as a stray in Zebulon, NC on 3/3/12 and if noone claims her as their own, she is available for immediate adoption after 3/8/12. `Katie` is a friendly, happy girl, seems to really like other dogs, and appears to have had some training. We estimate her to be about 3+ years old but a veteranian would be able to give you a better estimate of age. She was very thin when we found her so must have been fending for herself for a few weeks, which is why she acts so loving and appreciative to all of the people here, as if she knows she was saved from being on her own much longer. She must sense that someone is going to come give her a good home soon. She is so deserving so please act on meeting her if you are able to give her a home.

Act quickly to adopt Katie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Louisburg American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Louisburg, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Louisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
