Meow! My name is Sammy

Sammy is a lover of people.  He had to be awfully confused and afraid when the person he so loved dumped him.  Sammy roamed the streets looking for someone to love.  How long he struggled on the streets we do not know.  His life was very hard.  He wasn't neutered and got into fights with other Tom cats.  He was chased by dogs and learned to hate them.   Somewhere along the line he got into a lot of trouble and sustained serious injuries and bites to his body.  It's a wonder he survived.  By the time a Good Samaritan found him he was extremely thin as he had not been able to find or hunt for his food with his injuries.

Today he is a healthy boy again.  He is fit and trim and healthy.  His right ear is a bit deformed from a hematoma that sometimes happens when an ear is bitten but as you can see he's as handsome as can be, even so.

At the rescue he was a little worried about the other kitties at first, but in time he learned to tolerate and accept them.  He still hates dogs and who can blame him.

Sammy will be adopted as an inside cat only, as an only cat or as a companion to a female cat.  No male cats and no dogs please.  Children should be calm and over 6yrs old.   References and vet checks as well as a home visit required.  His adoption fee is $90 which will be used to help other abused and neglected cats like Sammy.
