Addie 1A12's Story...
A little sweet and a little spicy, that's Addie! Head butts, purrs, nudges- Addie wants nothing more than to give you affection. Adjusting to a new environment can be hard for some cats, and Addie is one to struggle, which is why when you first meet her, she may not show her snuggly side at first. But just give her some time and space and she will be rolling in your lap in no time. So what is so spicy about her, you ask? Well okay, she pretty much ALWAYS sweet unless, of course, she has to compete for your affection with another cat. While Addie has tolerated the cats here at the shelter, she has a hard time showing her true self when she is concerned that another cat might steal your attention. She has lived with a small dog before and has no problem bossing them around! All PAWS Humane cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV/HWM, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and come with a 30-day health insurance plan.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Addie 1A12, a Columbus Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
