Freckles's Story...
Meet Freckles, he is a very pretty liver and white spotted and speckled boy. These pictures were taken at the end of the day at adoption outreach, and he was pretty tired, as are all the dogs by then.
He is 2 years old, and has a applehead and stocky little body. he was a stray who ended up at the shelter, where we saw him and knew we had to save him!!! He is loving and playful but also has the guard dog attitude when we are at adoption outreaches and a big dog goes by! LOL
He weighs 4.7 pounds so you can see, he is not a big boy.
He was previously neutered when we got him .
We did the rest of his vet work, which included teeth cleaning, vaccines, heartworm test (neg), microchip and complete wellness exam.!
He is ready to go to his own home where he will get lots of attention and love.... his adoption fee is $150.00
Please note, we do not adopt to families with children under the age of 10 years old. we do require a securely fenced yard. and all other pets in the home must be current on vaccines and spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Freckles, a Edmond Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Edmond, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Edmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
