Bailey's Story...
Hi, I’m Bailey the Beagle! As you can see I enjoy long naps and would love to lay by your side and keep you company. I’m 9 years old and very mellow. I walk nice on a leash and like exploring new places with my beagle nose. I love all people and do great with older kids. I also like dogs and cats. I’m a special needs adoption, because I’m on a special diet and will be on medication for the rest of my life. My adoption fee is $95. Come see me at Five Acres Animal Shelter. Closed on Mondays, open from 2-6 Tuesday - Friday, 12-6 on weekends.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bailey, a St. Charles Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in St. Charles, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in St. Charles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Charles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Charles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Charles paves the way for another one to be saved.
