Jazzy's Story...

Jazzy is a darling 12 week old black kitten with a white bikini (white spots between her front and back legs). She was born to a feral mom, was seen prancing across a street, then trapped by a neighborhood resident who tamed her so she could get adopted and have a happy and loving life. Jazzy is very energetic and has a wonderful time batting and chasing the ball that hangs from a shoestring in her cage, and she loves jumping and boxing at a feather waved in front of her. She purrs immediately when her foster mom picks her up, loves cuddling, and returns the sweetest loving looks...and will surely do all that when she's well acquainted with her new parent(s). Jazzy also loves rubbing noses with her foster mom's small dog and even bats at her tail.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jazzy, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
