Millie's Story...
Millie is just too cute for words. She has the solid build of a basset-mix with the longer legs and animated face of a terrier. She has never met a person at the kennel that she didn't adore. She gets along well with a revolving assortment of kennel mates. A young adult, she has plenty of energy but the wildness of her puppy days are behind her. She a darling to walk on the leash or off, happily greeting other dogs and people on the trail. Millie was clearly a beloved pet, and we will never know how she became homeless. She begs everyone she sees to take her home. If you do, she will reward you with years of loyal friendship.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Albany, or seeking a Basset Hound/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Basset Hound/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
