Leo's Story...
Roar! …not so much. Trill, squeak, meow, purr. Repeat. Hi, I’m Leo and I love you. Okay we haven’t met yet but trust me, I love you and the other kitties in your household too and can’t wait to let you all know how much. My affection is displayed through all sorts of vocalizations and heavy doses of rubbing and lickings. This boy has the sweetest temperament as his foster mom attests to – a perfect match for his companion cat Sophie. Playful without being aggressive, Leo loves human and kitty companions alike and let’s them know it with some interactive play, rubbings, lickings and that near constant purring. Still a kitten we can’t wait to see Leo grow into his big ole feet and fluffy orange tail. To learn more about Leo and Sophie contact Cindy at 773.203.0215 or cindy@virtuallyhomechicago.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Chicago Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
