Laura is a feral pup that was rescued from NC. At the time she came to Pets Alive she really never had much human contact since she and her siblings were living on the street fending for themselves. They were under socialized and afraid of anything new. Since she has been here she is making great progress and we continue to work with her everyday. If you would like to meet her please come spend some time in her run so she can become familiar with you, You never know...you may have a new friend for life!
Pets Alive is a no-kill animal shelter, located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, about 1 1/2 hours from New York City. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and place animals in need. Victims of neglect, abuse, and violence, many of them have special needs and have been rejected by other organizations. Animals at the sanctuary range from dogs and cats to farm animals. Many of the animals at Pets Alive are older, have special needs or require special care.
