Sonny's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sonny's Story...
Sunny is a pretty-colored yellow Lab who was recently taken away from his owners because they allowed him to run loose. He misses his family greatly and is oh, so sad. He is depressed and sad right now but would be happy once again to be with a new family who would take good care of him.

Sunny thrives on attention from people and especially loves kids and other dogs, too. He does need some help learning commands but is eager to please. Weight: 70 pounds. Age: 1.5-2 years. Cost: $125.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a Lexington Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
