Meet Fergie. This sweet girl is about 2- 3 years old. Appears to be a Corgie/Shepherd mix - what we do know is she is a DOG and she is SWEET, SWEET, SWEET. She is a little timid the first time you meet her, but one pet of her head and she is yours forever. She would do great in a house without a lot of chaos, but one where she would get lots of love. Fergie is laid back and housetrained. She alerts if she hears a noise and will give a bark to let you know. She is crate-trained and loves to cuddle on the couch. She ignores the cats that she lives with and gets along fine with her foster dog siblings. Fergie would be a great companion dog and would love to find her FORever home. She is spayed, current on all vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention. For an application, please email us info@FORrescue.net today! Fergie is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.
Rescue Group Info...
We are a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
Our dogs are mainly fostered in Tennessee and Alabama in one of our many experienced foster homes if one is available; if not, the dogs might be kept in boarding until adopted. We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! All of our animals receive rabies vaccine, distemper/parvo vaccine, bordatella and spay/neuter (if age appropriate) and are on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. All of our dogs come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $450 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm/flea preventative, as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! Our transport service is certified through the USDA. We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things don't work out. We try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life together!
We currently volunteer for other rescues and can provide references from these rescues, previous adopters, and our veterinarians if requested. Please e-mail us for an application or information at info@FORrescue.net
