Snapdragon's Story...
Snapdragon is a very sweet, shy, high-energy, playful, loving and talkative, two-year-old, male grey and white tabby cat with golden green eyes looking for a loving guardian as the one and only cat in the home. Snapdragon loves exploring, playing and being pet. He’ll come over and butt you with his head and ask for a petting session or game of fetch. He always wants to be involved. He’s very communicative and when you pet him, he purrs and purrs. His foster mom says the first two weeks in a new situation are tough on Snapdragon … he hides under the bed. But once he’s comfortably settled, he comes out to play and is a total love. He is looking for a patient feline lover patient enough to wait for him to blossom. Snapdragon was found feeding in a feral colony in Ukrainian Village. He must have been someone’s escaped housecat as he’s not at all feral … just shy at first. This poor guy had a horrible case of pneumonia when he was first rescued. But after much TLC and veterinary care, he’s doing phenomenally well. He is now very healthy de-wormed, neutered, micro-chipped, virus-tested, and up-to-date on vaccines. His adoption fee of $75 benefits rescued pets. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact his rescuer Maria at medstrom2003@yahoo.com or 312-455-1146.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snapdragon, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
