Dixie's Story...
Dixie is a 70lb Black Labrador about 1.5 years old. She is spayed and Heartworm negative. She was turned in to a rural animal control as her owner no longer wanted her. She is a super sweet and loving girl who always seems like she is smiling. If she could be a 70lb lap dog she would be in heaven. She still has puppy energy, but she learns quick and is working on sit and fetch. She knows her name and comes when called. She walks well on a leash and get along well with other dogs. She needs to be supervised around cats, she, likes to play with them, but does not hurt them, she just does not know her size. Her life has not started out to well, but with a home of her own maybe it can end well. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Spring Valley Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Spring Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Spring Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spring Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spring Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spring Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
