Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Katie Brown is a chocolate & white American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She was found foraging for food around a dumpster near a local mall. She is 12 months old or less, and she weighs 40 pounds . Katie has been temperament tested by a professional canine trainer, who said she did not display human or other dog aggression in tests he conducted.
Katie is a sweet tempered girl, who wants very much to please. She is a wonderful INDOOR companion dog. Her fondest desire is to be right beside her person no matter what. Katie loves to fetch a ball, play tug with her tire toy, chase squirrels. She loves to go for walks on a leash, gets excited about going in the car. She loves her crate and eats all meals there.
Katie needs kindness and patience as she transitions from puppy to adult dog. She should have access to strong chew toys and mental stimulation. She also needs someone who can commit to providing lots of daily exercise and firm, consistent handling. A quick learner, Katie is a great candidate for a doggie basic training class. She could fit into a family that already has a large to medium size dog. She would not do well with small dogs, cats or other small pets because of her breed-specific traits.
Katie Brown is the girl for someone who wants a constant by-your-side, go-everywhere-with-you companion. She will provide love, loyalty and lots of laughter for the right owner(s). (TIA)
