Violet Rose's Story...
Hello, hello to you all! I am a very friendly, tiny, gray tabby girl with a BIG personality! I was dumped at the shelter with my two kittens. And when SPA saved us all – all of a sudden I got FOUR more kittens –yikes! But I LOVED them all, and fostered Posey, Rosemary, Cheddar, and Sweet Potato as if they were my very own. I LOVE my fostered kitties – but they are ALL so much bigger than I am now (but still come to me for love… I have to push them away because they are sooooo much bigger than I am!)
I get along well with other kitties but could also like a home where I can be spoiled as an only kitty too! I would love a permanent, indoor-only home where I can sing and dance and be free to live the rest of my very happy life! I am curious, funny, active and chase toys – even though I was already a mommy cat, you would never guess that I wasn’t just a kitten! The whole world is my oyster and I am happy and fun (WOW can I be a clown) wherever I am. My servants at SPA rescue love me very much – they will only let me go to the best home with a wonderful human family that appreciate how special I am.
Because I not only raised my own kittens, but FOUR ORPHANS as well – I have earned a very special place in everybody’s hearts. AND since all of us here at the rescue nearly lost our lives when we were sent to a horrible high-kill shelter, it is a true miracle that we are still alive! So the rescue wants us all to have permanent, loving homes that treasure us all – will you treasure me for my whole life? I will treasure you too! OHHH and I would also love to go with one of my foster kitties - Posey or Rosemary as I nursed them as my own!

We strive to take in loving and beautiful cats that would otherwise be killed at the county shelters. We specialize in the mama cats with their kittens that animal shelters are often too overwhelmed to care for.
Our cats are always kept in loving homes, not kennels, so they will have an easier transition into your home after they are adopted.
To prepare our cats and kittens for their loving homes, we provide treatment and testing that includes: spay/neuter, vaccinations, treatment for the parasites that can often come from shelters or outdoor living, including round worms, tape worms, fleas, feline intestinal protozoa such as coccidia and giardia, ear mites and upper respiratory infections. Our cats are also FIV/FeLV negative, heart worm negative and litter-trained.
SUGAR PLUM ANGELS RESCUE (SPA RESCUE, INC.) is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity that rescues cats from high kill shelters in Southern California for adoption in San Diego County.
OUR MISSION: Our mission is "no pet left behind", trying to save the beautiful treasures (these rescued pets) that have been discarded into public shelters -- as if they were trash. These rescued pets are WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL all of them!

Potential adopters are required to fill out an application and, if approved, give an appropriate adoption donation for the pet, and to sign our contract. Contact us by phone or email and we will be very happy to bring the cat, or cats, that you would like to meet to our weekend Poway Petco Adoption Fair.
Adoption fees vary. Note that the adoption donations do not fully cover all of our expenses for preparing these deserving and special rescues for their forever homes. Therefore we reserve the right to select only permanent, indoor homes with owners who are willing to make the lifelong commitment to provide high quality food, veterinary care, security, time, space, and love for these wonderful rescued cats. The long-term welfare of our rescues is our most important mission of all.
