JADA's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

JADA's Story...
SRC does not adopt any of its dogs to homes with children under ten years old. This is for the protection of the children and for the protection of the dogs.

Once you are approved to adopt you must make your donation online via our website and sign an adoption contract BEFORE you pick up your new dog. SRC does NOT do meet and greets on the same day as adoptions so if you want to meet the dog first, you must make two trips to the foster home. Keep in mind that if, while you are waiting to meet a dog, another approved applicant decides to commit to it, the dog is no longer available for adoption.

JADA (SRC#1166) is a nine year old black female Mini Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. She weighs 19lbs.

Jada came to SRC from a shelter in NC where she was turned in by her owner that had to go into assisted living. He was not able to take his dogs with him. SRC was notified and got Jada out of the shelter.

Do not let the age of this girl prevent you from adopting her. The life expectancy of a Mini Schnauzer is up to 15-17 years old. She has a lot of life left in her and will make someone an excellent companion.

Jada is house trained and she is used to living other small dogs. She will continue to be evaluated in her foster home so stay tuned for updates.

JADA IS CURRENTLY IN RUTHERFORD COLLEGE, NC AND WILL BE MOVED TO HER FOSTER HOME AFTER VETTING.

Jada is up to date on her shots, microchipped, heartworm negative, and she is scheduled to be spayed and given a dental the first week of March. She will be available for adoption the third week of March.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JADA, a Lenoir Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Lenoir, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Lenoir.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lenoir already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lenoir breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lenoir paves the way for another one to be saved.
