MADDY's Story...
MADELINE (SRC#1092) has lovingly earned the nickname of "Maddy" because she is such an adorable little girl regardless of the fact that she has had several very bad hair days! Actually Maddy has seen bad times for quite a while, if she could see anything at all! Local Animal Control Officers found this pitiful little girl wandering as a stray and she was so terribly matted and dirty that her eyes were actually swollen and stuck together to the point that she could no longer see. The Animal Shelter went ahead and started her on eye drops immediately to try to help clear up the eye infection that she had developed while trying to fend for herself. She was improving slowly yet since it appeared more likely every day that she was going to be euthanized as more and more people passed Maddy by, there was not much need to aggressively treat her eye infection. Poor little girl seemed destined to die there without anyone to take up her cause.

Fortunately a good hearted SRC volunteer heard about Madeline and simply could not sleep at night until they knew that she was safe. Now Madeline is an honorary schnauzer, and there might be some schnauzer or schnoodle there once she gets cleaned up and groomed well. She has such a beautiful spirit that she is bound to be a gorgeous girl with a professional grooming. Her grooming came first along with a very good bath because she was in pitiful condition from being on her own for so long. After she received a good day at the "spa" which Maddy really seemed to enjoy and she what lady doesn't just love getting pampered, then her spay surgery was done, and she was also micro-chipped. She has already tested heart-worm negative and is already up to date on all of her vaccinations. Maddy is a friendly little girl and is glad to get to know anyone that takes just a few minutes to show interest in her. She will make a fantastic family companion! Maddy will be a beautiful one too!! She will brighten any household once the vetting is complete and she is ready to return to normal life once again. She is a very friendly little girl with limited eyesight however it is really amazing just how easily dogs with limited eyesight can adjust as long as their surroundings stay consistent. She is not the least bit aggressive even though she cannot see well. Even this handicap does not make her the least bit grumpy or protective when someone is around that she is not already acquainted with. Personally I am very proud that we are able to help such a sweet little angel! How about opening your heart to her right away! You may not save the world, yet I can guarantee that you will be saving her world forever and she will always remember and love you for it! Adopt her soon, and you will be amazed at just how quickly she has recovered from her time as a stray all alone with no one to love or protect her. Now all she really needs is a family of her own that truly cares. Could you be that person? . MADDY IS BEING FOSTERED IN LENOIR, NC. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE TO THIS LOCATION TO PICK HER UP IF YOU ADOPT HER.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MADDY, a Lenoir Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Lenoir, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Lenoir.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lenoir already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lenoir breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lenoir paves the way for another one to be saved.
