Tigger's Story...
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Tigger - 4 Year Old Male Maine Coon

What's not to like about Tigger? At 16 pounds, Tigger loves attention, is a calm boy, not demanding, an easy purr and loves to be groomed. Tigger's happiest when he is around people whether sitting on a lap or sleeping on the bed at night. When people come over to visit Tigger hides when he hears the doorbell, but once visitors are settled he is out and around enjoying "his" company. Tigger's day is spent in the midst of things with his owner or sitting on the back of the couch watching the birds outside.

Tigger's owner has had some hardships in her life and cannot keep Tigger but she wants to find the very best forever home for him. She thinks Tigger would be happiest in a quieter home with no other cats and no young children. Older, cat savvy children are fine. Tigger would love his new owner to be home a lot.

if you think you would love to share your home with Tigger or for more information on Tigger, contact Karen at 925-462-1608 or by email at or go to and fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tigger, a Davis Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Davis, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
