Ladybug's Story...
Ladybug is an adorable, bouncy, fun, playful and sweet, 5-year-old, ten-pound, female Jack Russell Terrier looking for a loving guardian. Ladybug gives kisses and rolls over for belly rubs. Due to her terrier natures, she’s best in a home with adults – not small children. She is best as the one and only dog in the home, although she is good with select other dogs. She likes to chase and bark at cats. She was found as a stray in Schaumburg, Illinois, and never claimed at the local shelter. She’s so small, that she’s easy to pick up and carry around and cuddle with. She loves attention and will nudge your arm for petting and playtime. She loves to play fetch, and will dance on her hind legs for treats!

Ladybug is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact Melia at Her adoption donation of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue.

About Lucky Dog

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a very small group of independent dog rescuers. All of the dogs that are available for adoption were saved from needlessly being euthanized in high kill shelters. Once a dog is brought into our care, it receives all of the vetting that is necessary including a spay/neuter surgery, HW test, and vaccinations. A foster home is then provided for the dog until a forever adoptive home can be found. When a foster home is not available, the dogs will be placed in paid boarding until they are adopted.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of these dogs are currently located in foster homes or paid boarding either in Chicago, IL or surrounding areas. An appointment can be made to view any of the animals at the convenience of the potential adopter and the foster.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fee for each of the dogs is $200.00. That is to cover the cost of getting the animal spayed/neutered, HW tested and completely UTD on vaccinations. An adoption application can be obtained by contacting us by email at Once the application has been received and reviewed, a meet and greet will be arranged with your family and the dog you are interested in. A home visit will also be done prior to any adoption being completed.
