My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Franco is Los Angeles now and came from Taiwan after being rescued by Animal Rescue Team. Here is Franco's story:

Name: Franco
Age: 6 month old
Sex: Male (neutered)
Weight: 25 lbs
Breed: Mixed
Color: tiger stripe
Personality: easily frightened, shy but friendly and can get along with other dogs well
Medical record: dewormed, given all vaccinations, rabies shots, microchipped

About Franco:
When I first found Franco, he was lying motionless in the bush. I didn’t know there was a dog until a farmer showed me the direction. He told me that Franco’s mother and brothers were stray dogs lingering around. One of the farmers hated dogs because they tramped his vegetable farm. He set up many animal traps around his farm to ”capture” the intruders. Franco’s mother was first trapped. She lost one of her fore limbs in March and then in early April she lost another hind leg. Franco and one of his brothers were caught in their paws, which were swollen and they couldn’t run and even walk. That’s why when I found Franco, he was motionless. I sent him to the vet’s for treatment. It took a long while for the vet to remove the trap in Franco’s paw. Luckily, the injury was not too serious so there was no need to have his leg amputated. However, the paw was clipped off.
Franco was given all shots, dewormed and neutered. There is no place for him to go after he gets healed. He is easily frightened and shy but he is friendly, handsome and has good manners. Franco needs an owner who has patience with a frightened dog and is willing to help Franco build up his trust in human friends.

This is a special dog and as a dog trainer if he is adopted by someone in the southbay area of Los Angeles I will offer a very reasonable in home training course to help turn around his very frightening life thus far.

Adoption process includes completing a pre adoption application, homecheck , adoption contract and make the adoption donation of $125. Since he is frightened he will need a very dog savvy, patient adopter and home without small children. Another dog will probably help a lot in getting him to trust again.
