My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy came from an owner surrender. He was abused by a man.He has learned to trust again! He has learned to come to the women who visit and the adult grandson. He loves to play, get attention, walks on leash and is house trained. He is a bit nervous if anyone touches him on his neck but he loves to be petted. He is doing really good now about this. He is a great watch dog, he lets you know when someone is at the door, then quiets down He could be a STANDARD Schnauzer. Buddy needs a strong pack leader to let hikm know they are in charge. People who work with horses are grat pack leaders and he would do good with someone strong in leadership. He is wonderful with his family, but they must stay in charge.

He weighs 26 lbs and is salt/pepper in color and 2 years young very active. Has cropped ears and docked tail. Buddy is being fostered by Donna and family in Warren, OH area. Buddy would be best in a mature home with active adults. Buddyis good with other dogs, but not cats. Buddy's adoption fee is $250 and it includes a written veterinary exam, Neuter, Dental with some extractions and medicines after surgery. In addition you receive prepaid Microchip registeration. PLUS an annual booster shot, rabies shot and tag, heartworm test and passed, fecal and preventative deworming. One month flea/tick and heartworm preventative. You also receive a trial limited 30 day pet insurance from a third party.

We send you home with a copy of all the vet work, adoption paperwork and tips. Our Foster families notes explaining our rescue dogs schedule, habits, socialization skills.

We do not ship or transport our dogs you must drive to the foster home to meet the dog. You must fill out our on line application to schedule a meet and great with the foster dog. We do not require a fenced yard on all of our dogs, it is on a as needed basis. HOWEVER if you don't have a fenced yard we do require you to purchase an exercise pen (>$60 on internet) so that the dog can be safe when outside; SMALL DOGS CAN NOT BE TIED OUT. .

Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them, potty pad train them and use exercise pens and work on potty skills. Dogs learn quickly and are pretty far along.

We are not a shelter our dogs are fostered in private homes.

Please visit our website www.ronsrescuedrascals.org to learn more about our adoption procedures and policies, submit an adoption application, meet our volunteers and benefit from the 8+ years of rescue experience of our all-volunteer, non-profit rescue.
