My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone my name is Samual John, Sammy for short :) I am a handsome salt and pepper schnauzer. Before I came to rescue I was in what they call a hoarder home, my old mom had way too many dogs. Im glad to be in my foster home now, not nearly as many dogs and I get lots of lovings. I am a great boy to have in a family situation as I have lived with older kids and toddlers since being in foster care. I am good with big and little dogs and my potty skills are excellent! I LOVE to go on walks with you in a harness. My foster mom says I would make a good therapy dog too as her kids have special needs and I can calm them and even let her know when its time for their medicine. She says thats pretty amazing but its just me being me. Belly rubs are the best next to chewies of course. I would like another dog to keep me company but could be an only dog as well. I dont bark much only when people are at the door so Id be a good apartment dog too. I am very loveing and affectionate, but playful as well. Do you think you could be them? Hope to hear from you soon!

Most of our rescues lived with another pet and would like a playmate. Sammy weighs an average 17 lbs and is light grey/white in color and years young. Sammy has cropped ears and a docked tail. Sammy is being fostered by Amanda and family in Canton, OH.

Sammy's adoption fee is $275 and it includes a written veterinary exam, Neuter, Dental with some extractions In addition you receive prepaid Microchip registeration. PLUS an annual booster shot, rabies shot and tag, heartworm test and passed, fecal and preventative deworming. In season our rescues are on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. You also receive a trial limited 30 day pet insurance from a third party.

We send you home with a copy of all the vet work, adoption paperwork and tips. Our Foster families notes explaining our rescue dogs schedule, habits, socialization skills.

We do not ship or transport our dogs you must drive to the foster home to meet the dog. You must fill out our on line application to schedule a meet and great with the foster dog. We do not require a fenced yard on all of our dogs, it is on a as needed basis. HOWEVER if you don't have a fenced yard we do require you to purchase an exercise pen (>$60 on internet) so that the dog can be safe when outside; SMALL DOGS CAN NOT BE TIED OUT. .

Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them, potty pad train them and use exercise pens and work on potty skills. Dogs learn quickly and are pretty far along.

We are not a shelter our dogs are fostered in private homes. Please complete our application here click here for our on line application.
