Lilly's Story...
Adopted 4/7/12!!!

Everyone at the shelter that Lilly was turned into absolutely loved her. Sweet Lilly had been owned by her former family for 6 years and was their loyal companion. When the family got a puppy and the pup didn't like Lilly, they decided to get rid of Lilly. Is this anyway to repay a loyal companion for her unconditional love? Lilly deserves a better life than this and SGRR plans to find her a forever family who will love her eternally. Lilly is good on the leash and just adores going for a walk. He is heartworm negative, had been spayed by her former owners, and had been well cared for. Lilly is ready to travel north to meet her forever family! Are you ready to meet Lilly!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a New Canaan Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in New Canaan, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in New Canaan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Canaan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Canaan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Canaan paves the way for another one to be saved.
