Blake LOVES DOGS, CATS, KIDS!'s Story...
Woof - my name is Blake. I am a 4 year old Neutered Male, SUPER ADORABLE, SUPER SWEET black Bassett and Cattle dog mix. I am a low-rider like a lab, and I have the cutest spotted fit and the sweetest face. I am GREAT with EVERYONE!! I love other dogs, big and small, I am fabulous with cats and I love kids and adults. I am a calm, sweet boy. I walk well on a leash and take treats gently from your hand. I was rescued from the North Central shelter where I was brought in after being hit by a car. I needed surgery on my Left Hind-leg which I have already had and I am healing well and I get around just fine. I do have a bit of nerve damage so I am undergoing some acupuncture and water treatments to help me rehab. I am neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all of my shots. I am being fostered in a home in Thousand Oaks where I live with 3 other dogs. I also was in a home living great with cats immediately post my surgery. I am healed from my surgery and I love to go for walks and also jogs! I LOVE to play ball! I am FABULOUS with children and often hang out with a 2 yr old grandson at my foster mom's house. My nerve damage though causes me to be incontinent at times, so I sleep in a crate and love to hang out outside during the day. I make up for it by giving you TONS OF LOVE! The doctors believe my prognosis is good - they believe when I was hit by the car, my tail was caught under the tire of the car and the nerves were severed - and they are slowly regenerating, but nerves grow much slower than muscle or bone.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blake LOVES DOGS, CATS, KIDS!, a Burbank Basset Hound/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Burbank, or seeking a Basset Hound/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Burbank.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burbank already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burbank breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Basset Hound/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burbank paves the way for another one to be saved.
