My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(There is an adoption pending on Hope.) Hope is an ADORABLE baby Grand Pyrenees mix. She is about 14 weeks old, and weighs 23 pounds...she ils going to be huge! Hope is such a sweetheart, despite all that she's been thru in her young life. I happened to be there when she was first brought in to the county shelter by Animal Control, and I think, without exaggeration, she must have had more than 500 ticks on her body. She also had mange on her muzzle and around her eyes. Her sad little face told the story of a life of neglect and misery. The shelter manager immediately bathed her, and then treated her with Frontline. The assistant shelter manager said, "I'm calling her Hope," which is a name that couldn't be more fitting.

Hope's ticks are completely gone, and her mange is improving quickly with treatment. This medicine will be provided to whomever adopts Hope, so it can be continued until the mange is fully gone. It is a joy to watch a puppy or dog with this sort of background go from being an unwanted, dispirited little soul to being a joyful, happy, beloved member of the family. Hope is affectionate, playful, and loves people. She will form a very strong bond to the family who adopts her, as this will become her first real home. Hope's adoption fee is $175, and includes up to date vaccines, current heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention (Frontline), spay, and microchip.
