Lucy *Courtesy Post*'s Story...
*COURTESY POST*

This is a very sweet dog with a big heart. She is trained, she is obedient and she wants to please. She comes, sits, lies down and listens to me. I think she is about 3 Years old. She has wonderful energy, is very expressive and seems to love people. She can be active and play but she can also relax and be quiet.

I adopted her from the Santa Fe Shelter about 6 months ago. I think she needs to be the only dog in the house. I do not want to give Lucy away, but my female Heeler has not accepted her, which has caused problems.

She loves to interact and needs a home where she is not left alone all the time. If you are interested, please contact me. I am working with a trainer to make sure she is placed in the right home. I love her and hope to find her a “forever home”.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy *Courtesy Post*, a Santa Fe Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Santa Fe, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Santa Fe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Fe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Fe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Fe paves the way for another one to be saved.
