1 Eyed Jack's Story...
This poor boy was left to die after being hit by a car. He had a broken jaw and his eye was sitting on top of his head. People knew about him, too and did nothing to help. It's sickening. Anyway, sorry for the rant. It just amazes me that people would let an animal suffer. He is now on the road to recovery, with only one eye but he's happy to be alive. He's eating good and his jaw seems to be healing. I would appreciate a donation to adopt this lucky guy, as his bill came to $271. I don't expect that but anything would help. Thank you for looking at my rescued animals. :o) Deb
I have a picture but haven't figured out how to take it off of my picture cd. Soon to follow. :o)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

1 Eyed Jack, a Hillsboro American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
