Sweet Lucy's Story...
This is sweet Lucy. We know that is her real name since she came into the shelter as a stray with a name tag but no address or phone number. No one has come to claim her and she truly misses her people. She has been at the shelter now for over a week so she is available for adoption.
Lucy is a special girl. She is about 5 or 6 years of age. She likes to play and uses her feet alot when she plays. She knows how to "sit" and "shake". She walks great on a leash and does not pull at all. She appears to be housebroken as she tries to hold it until someone comes to take her for a walk. She is an all around great dog and deserves a home where she will be loved. If you like the retriever personality, then she is the dog for you!!!

The adoption fee of $150 includes heartworm test; current vaccines; spay/neuter & microchip!

If you would like to meet her, please complete our online adoption evaluation form and ask for her by name! You'll be glad you did!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Lucy, a Warren Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in Warren, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever dog from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
